// hello //
All Over the Map
This week's joy has been looking at an arts scene that's all over the map:
- Links this week will lead you to artists in un-hyped places like Florence and Westminster, SC.
- Vaughn Newman Dance is promising authentic West African vibes at next month's concert.
- Greenville (joining forces with Charleston and Asheville) is an outlier in the Tiger Strikes Asteroid (TSA) collective; all the rest of the artists are in the country's biggest cities.
- Now, TSA Greenville will be representin' in Chicago at Mana Contemporary, which has been my secret arts center crush as I daydream about starting a space like that here.
- There's free money for you jazz artists to take that Carolina sound on tour nationwide.
See what I mean? All over the map.
Kindly share this with folks who might be interested in any of the items. And lemme know your 👍 or 👎 on any aspect of NOTES.
Cheers.

Ian Curcio: Photographer
True story: Yesterday, Ian shot 750 photos of me.
It definitely would have felt like alien territory, except somehow he made me forget about the flashing light, the screens and backdrops, the glowing domes above my head. It was just chill, just fun.
You'll get to see what came of this fine day in a couple of weeks.
